GoWild app is live on Android
The GoWild hunting, fishing and outdoors app has hit Android.
"This was a significant milestone for GoWild," said GoWild Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer Chris Gleim. "We'll certainly celebrate, but we're already looking ahead to future functionality, and asking ourselves how we can better use this platform to get new hunters and anglers in the woods and onto the water."
The app has been in the Google Play Store for about a month and was beta tested by several hundred users. This included momentous efforts from the group ReelCamo Girl, which quietly rolled the app's beta test out to all of its members a few weeks ago.
Going forward, the Android and iPhone apps will be updated in unison. The company plans to integrate some basic functionality next—follow users, direct messaging and keyboard improvements—before tackling a large project known internally as "Rabbit."
"The Android launch officially means Project Squirrel is officially wrapped," said GoWild Co-Founder and CEO, Brad Luttrell. "We have big plans for the next phase, and let's just say we're ready to let the rabbit run wild."
