You may have noticed from our episodes of UNCENSORED and Gearbox Talk, but our cofounder Brad loves to cook. In a recent episode of Gearbox Talk, he talked about how much he loved the new Tacticalories Bruiser Blend, especially when it comes to one of his favorite hot sauces. Brad has mostly pulled this recipe from Chris Lilly’s book “Fire & Smoke,” which he says was the most influential book in teaching him to smoke. This is Brad’s take on Chris’ “15 Minute Barbecue Sauce.”

Wedding Night Hot Sauce

1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Tacticalories Bruiser Blend
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons Robert Rothschild pineapple habanero jam or hot cherry jelly
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon molasses
1/4 teaspoon sriracha hot sauce
1 1/4 cups packed dark brown sugar

1) In a nonreactive medium sauce pan, combine all the vinegars, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning. Bring to boil, and maintain boil over high heat until reduced by half. About 10 minutes.
2) Remove from the heat and stir in everything else. Put in an airtight container and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Keeps for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
