    Well said! For us knowing we have deer and antelope in our freezer is such a good feeling.

  • William's avatar

    Yes got full freezer full deer and small game good for wile and fish to

  • William's avatar

    Amen brother

  • Adam D's avatar

    Yeah.....I wouldn't have been so gun hoe to dig into last year's deer if I would have seen this coming 🤭

  • Mike's avatar

    Yep... and if you look closely, there’s still packages with a friend’s name on some of it to give away, even though he’s resourceful enough to secure his own. Diversity and sharing are part of the enjoyment for me. And ya know if it’s gone before July, 💩 done hit the fan.....bad. 👊

  • Brad's avatar

    @Mike 🤣 thanks dude. I appreciate you sharing. At this point I’m hoping our vacations happen.

  • Brad's avatar

    @Mike thanks dude! I appreciate you sharing. I sure hope the vacations happen. I really think this thing will quell with the summer heat and humidity from what I’m reading. 🤙

  • Adam D's avatar

    @Mike oh yeah, beaver is always in season here too!

  • Brad's avatar

    @Adam dude I’m so glad I stayed true to my “meat first” approach instead of passing on that doe to wait for a buck.

  • Adam D's avatar

    @Brad with the exception of my Ohio trip last year I took what I could this year for meat. Ohio was just different. After buying my single tag for nearly $300 bucks and seeing bucks on my first night there I just couldn't pull the trigger on a doe.

  • Brad's avatar

    @Adam that’s a different kind of hunt but if you’re in your hometown passing on does with an empty freezer I imagine you’re questioning that strategy right about now

  • Mike's avatar

    @Adam 🤣

  • Mike's avatar

    @Brad it will. Heck, I’m going to Marathon in June to fish......I’m GOING!

  • Adam D's avatar

    @Mike yeah, we've got an island wildlife preserve on one of our lakes here I wanted to scout for turkey, going to try and throw out some jug lines whilst I'm out

  • Adam D's avatar

    @Brad true, but I'd be lying if I didn't have a little guilt over it lol

  • Mike's avatar

    @Adam load up man👊

  • Brad's avatar

    @Mike get after it. Marathon is awesome

  • Mike's avatar

    @Brad love that place. The in-laws had a house they rented for a decade, but it sold in November 😕. Found a VRBO condo for $1150 split 3 ways for 4 nights. Half the price of hotels down there and right on the water. The Mahi are in trouble as well as anything else that bites 🐠🐟🐡

  • Brad's avatar

    @Mike nice. Good luck dude

  • Holden's avatar

    Well said, man. Turkey season has a whole new meaning this year.

  • Jason's avatar

    @Brad thanks for the inspiration. This whole situation has had me trying to inventory my freezer and it just makes me realize how good I've got it!

  • Tim's avatar

    @Brad amen to that

  • Stephen 🦌🦝's avatar

    Well said Brad, we’ve got meat but I told my family if we start getting low before things start to get better I’ll harvest some more critters if I have to. Don’t like the thought of hunting out of season but I would if I had to so we can eat, but I think we’ve got enough to get us through this. I sure hope so! Lol.

  • Brad's avatar

    @Stephen check out your spring opportunities. Rabbit, groundhog, squirrel, turkeys. Plenty to legally take.

  • Brad's avatar

    @Jason for sure man. I’m sitting on months worth of meat and I am glad I aim for meat first. It’s never been more true that you can’t eat the antlers

  • Brad's avatar

    @Holden NO KIDDING!

  • Stephen 🦌🦝's avatar

    @Brad Yeah Turkey season just opened but everything else is closed. Hopefully I won’t have to worry about it lol. I hope this blows over soon, Good Luck this Turkey season!

  • Brad's avatar

    @Stephen you too. I think grocery stores are catching up to demand. Hopefully they do soon any ways

  • Stephen 🦌🦝's avatar

    @Brad Thanks, yeah I hope so to, I think the media is hyping it up too much and causing people to be in panic mode, be cautious yeah but I don’t think it’s panic time yet? I had a email this morning from Gun.deals.com and it said AMMO OUT OF STOCK, But good deals on guns lol. I hope all of my friends and fellow hunters are well stocked on ammo.

  • Brad's avatar

    @Stephen there is way too much panic going on when we get a shelter in place and people’s primary concern is how they’ll wipe their butt. You can 💩 if you don’t 🍔. Provide first, I say.

  • Stephen 🦌🦝's avatar

    @Brad Exactly! One of my customers went to Walmart Friday to get a few things, meat was on her list, the meat department was empty and they told her that they put the meat out and it was all gone in less than 5 minutes. Crazy!

  • Brad's avatar

    @Stephen at this point I’m not sure what we are stocking up for. Not a single country or city has shut down grocery stores. Not even Italy

  • Stephen 🦌🦝's avatar

    @Brad I agree, I watched a video the other day, Lisa Haven News on You Tube, and she said that most of the cases in Italy where people died from the virus that they were 80 years old and older and already had other medical conditions? Pretty interesting?

  • Scott's avatar

    Very well said @Brad

  • Brad's avatar

    @Stephen that’s not totally accurate. It is hitting 40-50 year olds hard too and a lot more men. Italy does have a high smoker population but the USA has a lot more obesity and that is also a risk factor. Italy has a lot of unique factors though. Their death rate is 8% which is 4X anywhere else.

  • Brad's avatar

    Failing hospitals and available equipment (why you “flatten the curve”) is contributing obviously

  • Jacob's avatar

    Dude, I've always thought it hypocritical how people will complain about industrial meat and the treatment of the animals, but complain when someone says "I agree, that's why I hunt for my meat."

  • Brad's avatar

    @Jacob no doubt. And people being healthy but anti-hunting perplexes me too
