Crow calls are often used by turkey hunters to locate gobblers. The sound of a crow can provoke a response from a turkey, as they may gobble in return, giving away their location. By using a crow call, hunters can pinpoint where the turkeys are roosting or moving, helping them plan their approach for a successful hunt. It's a useful tool in the turkey hunter's arsenal for scouting and locating birds. Good luck on your turkey hunting adventures! It’s to locate turkeys. The crow call an make them shock hole so you’ll know what direction and how far they are.

I’ve rarely had them work here in Wisconsin, but they’re used for a shock gobble. Turkeys will sometimes gobble to any loud noise that they’re within earshot to. People also use owl calls, even in the middle of the day to get the same effect. Peacock as well.

Where I live I’ve had more success with goose flute in afternoon and owl call in morning and a coyote howler at sunset. Good luck
