@Mike I elected to leave the 7 foot dog catcher net in the truck since I was bushwhacking a mile through mountain laurel to get to the hole. It's always nice to make contact with the aliens when you're just guessing they ought to be there.

@Appalachian that’s been a bucket list fish of mine for 3 decades man. I’d have brought the net🤣🤪

@Mike I figured you were in the thick of them up there. I was raised on tales of my grandaddy chasing them off in the creeks round here. Finally got the notion to chase them when I turned 20 or so. No lie I sight casted to one and hooked up on my second cast but my mono leader was no match and I lost it 10 feet from the bank. I blundered around for a few years till I figured them out. Now I've got them all named down the river 😅 Nice ugly names like Gertrude, Helga, Rasputia..... and so on.

I sure would like to catch Gertrude but no musky in my part of TN!

@Appalachian they’re not exactly ghosts up here, but certainly not very common. Very few places in the state hold any that can get sizable.

@DJ You’d be surprised they’re in most moving water in the state and only 9,999 casts away!

@Mike Weird, I figured once you crossed the Mason- Dixon line they’d be in every creek, puddle and ditch 😂 don’t tell my wife but they give me butterflies in my stomach and put my heart in my throat
