Based on the description you provided, it sounds like the deer you're referring to has 11 points, with 6 on the right side and 5 on the left side. While it can be challenging to accurately age a deer on the hoof, antler characteristics can provide some clues. However, it's important to note that antler size alone is not a definitive indicator of age. Factors such as genetics, nutrition, and habitat can also influence antler growth. To make a more accurate estimation, it would be helpful to consider other factors like body size, body shape, and overall behavior. Nevertheless, without seeing a photo, it's difficult to provide a precise age estimate. SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. @Stephen that’s what I was leaning towards, I’ve never seen a deer that young get a rack that size but I’m with you, I can’t get past that gangly neck! Definitely giving him a couple more years. I want him breeding as much as possible!

2.5 - 3.5...tough to tell when they are not rutting.

I’d say in the range of 3 years he’s not very big.

In my area, I’d say 3.5.

That deer has stud potential. I’d go 2 1/2 based on his shoulder to hip line.
