I shot one in similar spot and that thing danced around spraying blood everywhere.

@Jeffrey I've shot them with 22lr and had them do that. But not with the pellet gun.
This one didn't even start bleeding until a few seconds after I walked out of the kitchen and went over to the hole.
When I got there I almost put a second shot in it because I thought it was still alive. And as I aimed it started to bleed.
