@Manny Medeiros I have one in 12ga also. When my father move to the eastern part of Virginia in the early 60s he met a few guys that took him dove hunting. They all got a big laugh at a hillbilly using a bolt action to dove hunt.

Filled my final Virginia tag this morning. I decided before the season started that I was going to hunt some with my late father’s Mossberg.410. I used this same gun to kill my first squirrel and first dove 50 some odd years ago. You can see in the pictures where my pop cut a bunch off the stock so a small framed 4 year old could shoulder the gun properly. The hunt was exciting enough since I use no blind or decoys but it picked up to another level when the old gun clicked on him at 20 yards. I was able to lift the bolt and close it to recook it then click again. So I had to cycle the bolt all the way to get a different round into it. This definitely got his attention but he hung around long enough to get a good bead on him.
