What a way to go out! Looks good though. Is 10 months how long it normally takes? I have a few skulls buried (mink and skunk).

@Nick not really sure, this is the first time I tried it. I buried it up to the antlers, and placed a bucket over the top with a heavy rock on top of the bucket. Just to keep small animals from messing with it. Smaller skulls shouldn’t take that long I would guess.

@Nick I bury deer skulls for four to five months. They are picked clean in that amount of time. I just bury the skull and leave the antlers above the dirt. Messed up on the first one and covered it with a clear plastic bin. The sun faded the antlers out really bad. Bought some colored bins on the next go around 😁.
