    Get him out in the woods as much as you can and reward good work. I started myself and my then 5 year old Catahoula/Great Dane cross on bears last year in BC and turns out she is a natural. Don't worry about negative things others might say, love and work your dog and set him up for success. I look forward to seeing your journey progress here

    Keep treats on you and reinforce the behavior you like to see! Also reward him for engaging with/looking at you. Once you build up engagement you an really teach them anything.
