    Partially agree, during early season should only be compound unless disabled etc, but up here in the UP in late season it’s darn cold out and a lot of trouble drawing their bow back in it. Oddly enough it’s also the only time it’s forbidden to use in the UP lol

    I would say my biggest issue is, not necessarily a crossbow, well kinda. But it’s more it now brings, 90% of the time, in non serious rifle hunters into bow season. Bow hunters work hard for close quarter shots, scouting, a lot of dedicated time and I have seen/talked to these non serious hunters starting to come into bow season. I always love the early season where you know it’s the people that just love nature and love hunting.
