Teacher Appreciation: A Thankless Job in CA? My Senior's Yearbook Quote Says Otherwise!

It’s a thankless job everywhere these days. Thank you for doing it. There are still some people around who know and recognize what goes into that job, and we are indeed grateful.

Interesting that I came across this. It was just this morning that I thought of asking my son to email each of his teachers and thank them for devoting their life to teaching others. I also thought of doing it.

And I agree with Eric, above. Most jobs people are not thanked. I've made it a policy of mine to thank people for being there and working their job (from baggers at grocery stores, to drive thru's, officers, etc)
