I took my 9 month old Brittany out for the 5th time his first year. This was the first time he was the only dog and I was a bit nervous however he crushed it! We went to a hunt club and we had 18 birds out there. 3 were wild flushes and my pup (Rip) found 11 of them. 2 he bumped wild and 9 he locked up on solid points and we were able to flush. It was great to really see the light switch turn on for him and he really seemed to understand what we were doing. He’ll chase the birds down and actually held 2 cripples down until I got there.  He won’t yet pick them up and and bring them back, but the progress is great and we’ll get the retrieving part figured out!
