Last time I was in Kentucky was FT. Knox November of ‘04 it snowed 6” on us while we were doing our field training exercise. We all woke up with snow covering our sleep systems. Nobody was prepared for that. Not even the drill sergeants lol

Louisville's version of winter usually means 1/4 inch of ice or maybe an inch of snow, which kids turn into muddy mixes of snowmen and snow angels that look like they 💩 their pants. 

But we got a real snow this week. And I wasn't going to miss it. 

I cut loose early, encouraged our team to do the same, and I hosted an educational seminar with the kids on how to pack down a sled track and lean in for top speed. We also wiped out hard on our first run. We had a lot of spills, some icy tears after said spills, and an ol' fashioned blast. 

I know this storm has kicked up a lot of problems for our friends to the south. I hope everyone is safe and warm.
