I know your the professional and I'm probably gonna sound like I have about as much experience as I actually do....but on that note. It would be pretty neat if you could somehow pour the broken pieces in apoxy and still turn it. I think that would look sweet with the cracks adding character.

@Wayne sometimes I do that with pieces which suffer catastrophic failures. I keep them as reminders of what happened so I don’t make the same mistake again. This one is residing in the burn pile…. 🤪
