Nothing like a good standoff to get your heart pumping. Patience kills more turkeys than a good caller. You did the ethical thing by patiently wait for the right shot.🦃🙌🏻

@Tom listening to him and another tom drum at 10 yards while surrounded by 20 other turkeys will be something I never forget!

@Matt I bet!! Gets my heart pounding just hearing about your hunt. Non hunters just wouldn’t understand.

I sat and watched my gobbler, with his 7 hens, for almost two hours. Finally a hen worked her way passed me on the opposite side from the flock. That was enough to draw the gobbler in and I rolled him at 55-60 yards. I didn’t call once the gobbler was in sight. It’s was a long wait, but he put on a show and it was well worth the wait.

@Matt Thanks, brother. Every turkey hunt is amazing in its own way. No two are the same. That’s what makes hunting these amazing birds so memorable.
