Congratulations. What trap do you run for the k9s?

@Cody MB 550, 4 coil but I’m making most of them 2 coil, Berkshire HD cable stakes, approximately 3-3 1/2 lbs pan tension.

@Darrin thanks for the info. I've heard good things about the MB traps but I've never used them. This is our first year going after K9s and so far I'm liking the Bridger #2 we use. They're 4 coil with the wolf fang stakes set at 3 lbs. I'll probably buy a couple MBs soon though.

@Cody The Bridger’s are an awesome trap and are what I used when I started but even with them being modified I still had more foot damage than I liked that’s why I tried the 550 and have only had a small handful with any damage since switching. Good luck!!

@Darrin that's the main problem I've had. There's been several broken legs on smaller animals even with the #1.5 traps. I'll go get some MBs. We don't have a trap supply store here really other than bass pro shop so I mail order everything. Mostly from minntrapprod or fnt. I use Flemings sometimes. It'd sure be nice to learn more about K9s from you or someone though. Theres not many trappers in Alabama

@Cody I order most of my stuff from MTP. Great service and the few times I’ve called they’re very helpful. The one piece of advice I give anyone that I help with trapping coyotes is keep it simple and don’t overthink things. Feel free to message me if you want, I’ll be glad to help out.
