How long does it take to set up that man decoys?!

@Justin 30 to 45 minutes. A bunch of them were 2D decoys which are super easy to set up.

@Kendal not as bad as I thought. I’m sure they’re a pretty penny 💰 and are a lot to store in the off-season lol

@Justin none of these decoys were mine. My buddies do photography work for tanglefree so they have a bunch of dekes. I’d highly recommend checking out the Tanglefree skinnies though. They really fill in your spread and you get way more of them for the amount of money you have to spend. Also they take up very little space for storage. I’m going to be getting some in the future. Full bodies are so expensive!

@Kendal good info and thanks! I’ll def keep it in mind. New ish to hunting (especially bird) so I have a lot to learn, experience and acquire!

I remember when 12 decoys was enough.

@Coyote we ran 35 decoys the day before and shot 30 geese. You certainly don’t need 200 decoys if you’re in the right spot but if your trying to traffic birds into a field they weren’t previously landing in, it definitely helps having a big spread.

I understand that. I was 13 years old when I used to go with my dad and uncle.

@Coyote you’ve definitely got more experience than me. I just started hunting 5 years ago when I was 16. My dad’s not a hunter so I’ve just been learning stuff on my own and through my cousins who hunt waterfowl.

Oh I haven’t hunted geese in many years. Wasn’t my thing, it was all about going with Uncle Ben. He’s the one that started us hunting.
