Cades cove?

@Blake this was right before Grotto Falls trailhead

@Kevin we were just there in January

@Blake cades cove or Grotto? I was at grotto in January. Cades & clingmans done roads are closed now for construction. I haven’t been yet to hike & see those scenes

Sorry, fat fingered the done button too soon. We were in Gatlinburg in January and drove up through the loop near Grotto. Lot of areas were closed due to ice and of course Cades was as well due to the tunnel

@Kevin worse part was that we went for 9 yo sons Bday and Cades was going to the be the highlight of our trip. Silver lining is that it gives us a reason to go back soon!

@Blake definitely gotta go back. I keep making trips just to do different trails. I ended up in NC to another closed park, but you can stilll hike it & had 4 elk walk in front of me on the road. Balsam Mountain where it was. I was super surprised

@Kevin that's awesome man. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to be able to hike a different trail every weekend. Its beautiful country up there

@Blake you live in the N bound start trailhead of the AT, Amicalola or Springer Mountain. I want to see those & a thru hike eventually. I’ve been doing sections of it
