We still have snow on the ground here in SD, makes it hard to go shed hunting!🤦🏻‍♂️

I scene straight out of my dreams. I’m in TX lol I dream of this one day

@Benjamin I have to say, growing up up here made me take my area for granted. I think that’s a common thing for people regionally. I learned from years away in the Army, going to college and general travel that you can find a beauty to anywhere you go in this country, but you have to get away from your own to rediscover it’s beauty.

@Todd I’m not jealous! Haven’t the Dakota and Montana (amongst other areas of course) gotten absolutely dumped on this year? I feel like this is a dusting compared to what folks out west have gotten. I may be mixing things up though.

Today has been the first real snow we've had in southern CT. It's crazy, we used to get so much more.

@Jackie I feel the same way here. I remember growing up, having several decent snow storms through the course of the winter, along with generally colder temps throughout the season as well. The last couple years we have gotten one or two big storms where I live and much smaller ones, punctuated by days in the 40’s, 50’s and even 60’s a couple of times:

@Eric Yes! Growing up it would snow and the ground would be covered for the rest of winter, it would even get piled up around street corners. Now we get a 50 degree day after it snows and it all turns to mud. It's like mud season all winter long.

@Jackie the mud is the worst. We will get a few days of warm temps and everything turns to soup. You won’t catch me posting a picture back there when this snow melts 😂 Our horses love to mill around in the muddiest spots. When it freezes back up everyone has to be careful not to twist ankles.

@Eric Yup, this whole winter has been brown and gross. And I hear you! I think my older horse may have hurt himself earlier this winter from those 6-in holes created from the mud freezing.

@Eric we have had more snow than usual.
