    Hi @Craig! It looks like you're interested in the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9mm. I'm not an expert on firearms, but I can help you find some reviews and opinions from other owners. Would that be helpful? SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. He comments on all posts flagged as questions. It’s a good idea to also ask a human.

    I own one for concealed carry. I had a Ruger LC9, which, the Shield outdoes the Ruger in almost every area.

    Especially in the trigger department*

    Always been a big fan of smith and Wesson but

  • Craig's avatar

    @Nate I have always been a big fan of smith and Wesson just never got around to getting a shield . More I keep honking about it I think I’m gonna have to get the gun .

    i have the shield 40 as my carry, I love it. not a single jam and light enough to not get the pants tug. the 9 fits just as well if not better than the 40.

    @Cory see that’s what I was originally looking for before I had gotten my gx4 . But for the longest time I couldn’t find the shield in 40. My buddy has the shield in 40 and I loved it. I have the sdve 40 smith and Wesson and it’s a great full-size gun . So once I seen my buddy have the 9mm shield up for-sale for cheap I figured might as well get it since I can’t find the 40 shield for a reasonable price .

    @Nate do you have anything you don’t like about the 9 shield ?

  • Nate's avatar

    @Craig I suppose not. If you’re talking specifically concealed carry at that price point, it’s a great firearm. I never use the shorter mags I guess. I only use the longer one, since it holds one more round and if you have a “normal” sized hand for a man, the extension on the mag is good for fitting your pinky finger on to.

    @Nate I appreciate it boss . Thanks for the input. I think im getting a shield 😂.

    I’ve carried one for 7 years and have 0 complaints about it

    2 is better than 1.

  • Craig's avatar

    @Billy appreciate it boss

  • Craig's avatar

    @Casey agreed

    Mine is on my hip everywhere I go and I love it. Shoots smooth and performs great. If you have big hands use the extended mag. The sticky holster is great with it too.

  • Kyle's avatar

    Love mine! Very accurate, concealable, and dependable. Only drawbacks come from the operator!

  • Craig's avatar

    @Adam appreciate it boss

  • Jamie's avatar

    I have the Smith & Wesson 40 shield. Love it, runs great and very easy to conceal

  • Craig's avatar

    @Kyle understood appreciate it boss

  • Craig's avatar

    @Jamie wish I could find a 40 shield for a reasonable price for a back up back up back up gun 😂

  • Jamie's avatar

    @Craig found mine used at a small local gun shop to me for only $325. Couldn’t even tell the thing had been shot. My bet is someone bought it and didn’t like shooting it. There loss was my gain

  • Ted's avatar

    Love my .45 shield my wife has a 9mm shield and I just bought a 9mm shield ez

  • Craig's avatar

    @Jamie you can’t beat that at all

  • Craig's avatar

    @Ted I was just looking at the ez not to long for my old lady. She was between that and the 380 body guard we ended up getting her the body guard .

  • Ted's avatar

    They also make the shield ez in 380

  • Craig's avatar

    @Ted that I did not know I’m gonna have to look in to that

    The best advice I can offer is because it is a friend selling , shoot it and see if you like it. Hand guns especially are very personal. As you can see from the comments people like them. I bought on for my wife and she hated it. For me it feels great in my hands but shooting I do not like it at all. I can not get any accuracy from it at all. If you do like it buy it you can never have too many.

  • Craig's avatar

    @Rich yea I was talking to him about shooting it before I bought it . I have held them at gun shops and they feel pretty good but like you said it might not feel good shooting it . So hoping This weekend I can get out and shoot it and see if it’s worth it or not . I appreciate the advice boss

    @Craig no problem
