@Brian my grandad use to do the same with a good from a 1972 Datsun pickup and pull us behind the old tractor.

@Scotty we have a steep hill that goes out to the back waters of the river where I grew up and as soon as it froze up good enough we would get out the old car hoods and wax them up and see how far we could go out on the ice. All the hoods we had came from cars in the fifties...lol..just means i am a little older..hahaha

@Brian the interesting big dips in the 50’s hoods must have been an awesome bulkhead though!

@Scotty they were, we would get 3 or 4 of us and sit clear to the back and try to pull up the front of the hood with the rope we had attached to it, brings back a lot of memories, and if you got it waxed good you could really travel across the ice, just no controlling it.
