Should I involve wildlife officers for quad riders on unmarked trails?

If where they are riding is lawful, no sense getting a wildlife officer involved. However, if it’s unlawful to ride where they are, by all means. Make that call. Unlawful atv use on game lands was one of the things which kept me busy as a wildlife officer. As a hunter, I know how aggravating it is to have your set-up spoiled by some (insert expletive here) who couldn’t care less. Good luck.

I agree with gobbler knob. If it’s legal then there’s not much you can do. It may work to your advantage. Years ago I had a couple of jerks riding around near where I was hunting, they knew I was in the area. They kicked up one of the biggest bucks I have ever taken.

@Billy have you considered placing a section of 2x6 with spikes in the trail? Asking for a friend…. 😉

@Billy I had a farmer complain to me about people driving through his fields while spotlighting. I drove out one of the lanes late one night to lay in wait for them. What the farmer failed to mention was his own trap. He hit all 4 of my tires. Thankfully, I was able to get to a place which sold fix-a-flat before I was left stranded.

@Billy I understand. Last year out at my farm property a guy set a stand less than 30 yards from my son in law’s stand right on the property line.

@Chris I was taught as a kid to respect other people’s hunting spots. This is public and I have let people hunt out of my tree stand before. I just can’t stand when people feel they have to drive there loud four wheeler right through all the un bothered acreage we have here in Ohio just so they don’t have to walk like the rest of us.

@Billy I agree. We have been having a big problem with people who own atv razor and side by sides that think that can drive them anywhere they want even private property because they want to.

If there are people regularly ridding through there chances are it’s not that good of a spot anyways I would try to find a new one

@Daniel that’s the bad thing about Ohio public land. It doesn’t matter where you go people will find a way
