Should I focus on becoming a shooter or on growing bigger?

@Christopher: When it comes to deciding whether to shoot or let go of a particular animal, it ultimately depends on your personal goals and hunting regulations in your area. If your goal is to harvest a mature animal, it might be worth passing on a smaller one in hopes of finding a bigger one later. However, if you're looking to fill your tag or if the animal meets legal requirements, you may choose to take the shot. Remember to always follow ethical hunting practices and consider the long-term sustainability of the wildlife population. Happy hunting! Let him go, at least a year

I’m a fan of letting your heart decide when he comes out. Whatever gets the blood pumping, good luck!

Depends on where you have more room, on the wall or freezer. Like Reed said go with your heart/gut. Bird in the hand thing. You have to decide. Whatever you decide make sure it’s a clean kill. You owe it to your prey.

I agree with the above. If it is something that gets you going and find as a personal trophy, send it. If you are trying to grow bigger, more mature deer, let him walk. Nice deer though!

He looks like a 4 1/2 to 5yr old buck. Like the others have said if he gets your heart racing and he is legal to kill on your club then take the shot. He is a nice looking buck and if you want to put your tag on him he is a good one. Good luck!
