Keep doing what you’re doing. I like getting out early for scouting and try to listen while the Turkeys are still on the limb and vocal. Move around a lot scouting and cover as much ground as possible. I’m not sure what the regulations are in your state, some states you can’t call prior to the season. But ripping a good owl hooter is always fun. I avoid making Turkey sounds and owl hoot sparingly.

@Paul really appreciate it. I’ve been listening to your turkey hunter podcast just about nonstop dove Since I found it and I’ve learned a lot from that already.

@Max I appreciate that! Good one this week with Jay Scott all about roosting and locating turkeys. Might help you out! I learned a ton.

@Paul looking forward to it! I said turkey hunter podcast but I meant how you hung turkeys. I’ve been listening to the turkey hunter podcast too though. Just trying to be a sponge and soak up as much information as I can. Looking forward to the podcast though!

@Max the Turkey hunter podcast is great. Parker McDonald does one called LimbHanger that is solid. Keep me posted on your hunts and feel free to ask any questions anytime.

@Paul I’ll check it out. Do you use cameras on public land?

@Max I’ll put out a few prior to the Deer hunting season. For Turkey season I like finding them by boots on the ground scouting and hunting.
