Quick question by the time you pack the platform, tree steps, and of course your harness is there a whole lot of difference between that and just throwing a climber on your back? I was just curious. I was thinking about getting a harness setup this coming year I do a lot of moving around. I was just curious on what your thoughts were if you’ve used both. Thanks

The platform, sticks and Badlands Monster Fanny pack with gear inside comes out to just under 14lbs. Not sure what athe average climber weighs, but with this setup, I have benefit of gettinto trees that have too many limbs for a climber.

@Adam yeah you definitely have to have pretty straight trees with not many limbs I usually cut them off on the way up. I think my climber is 20 pounds or so. Thanks for your input.

@Frank you are welcome. Trimming branches isn’t legal on public land in Arkansas, so wither limbless trees or risk getting a ticket.

I primarily bowhunt for whitetails on public land in Arkansas. I have also hunted in Texas, Missouri, BC, and Alberta.
