I “staged” a few when my kids were little and they loved finding them. Then my son got pretty smart around 7 when I threw a small elk antler out in the back yard. He was like “hey….wait a minute….” But he still gets the rush finding sheds and dead heads like we all do now that he’s 21.

I love reactions of little kids when they find a shed and yes they do get smart to it. A few years ago I took about 10 sheds up on the hill and planted and took all my grandkids up and sent the boys in the opposite direction and let all the girls find them 🤣

@Robert yeah, we found that in Nebraska during our turkey hunt last spring. I’m thinking there was a bummed out rifle hunter by the stage of decomposition.
