A small group (3 people) started hunting this land in 2016. After the first year we noticed many older deer but not much as far as racks go. We also observed that one of our neighbors hunted deer with dogs and they constantly messed up our hunts. After catching dogs for years the game wardens finally got involved and it has improved. The landowner allowed us to put in a total of 65 acres of year round food plots, which is a ton of work for three people without a tractor. The difference in the racks has been huge since putting in year round food sources. This buck is by far the nicest racked deer taken off the land scoring 143 5/8 and being aged by a wildlife biologist at 8 1/2 yrs old (jaw bone). Right before he showed up I passed on a 3 1/2 yr old 7 point just thinking something else might show up with a hot doe around.
