I used to think copperheads didn’t get in trees because I never ever seen them there until I got bit on the finger breaking a forked stick off one night while fishing.

@Beyond Yikes! That's a nasty surprise. Yeah I didn't expect to see him there either.

I have snake tongs and a snake hook. I use a bucket instead of bags.

@Coyote Yup, I think a bucket may be the way to go next time!

@Kyle this is my set up. 7 gallon bucket with screw on lid accessory. 47 inch snake tongs, 43 inch snake hook and step pack. So I can carry the bucket like a back back if I have to take a snake for a walk to to release it. inside the bucket are my snake guards for my legs if I need them.

@Kyle it’s called a strap pack not a step pack. Dang typos.

@Coyote Thanks! I should step up my game since I seem to keep getting these calls!

@Kyle Why I have all that stirred is how I became the snake guy. I remove snakes for people in my town and I’m the snake guy for the Storey county sheriffs office and the Lyon county sheriffs substation here. What I do for fun has expanded.

@Coyote I like that setup you've got there 👍

@Gerald Thanks, got to keep safe and make sure I don’t get bit. Having all this stuff is the reason the Storey County Sherrif gave his approval for me to remove snakes for them.
