I like snakes. I would have had to see what it was and if non venomous pick it up and hold it.

@Coyote it was a water snake. I got a good look at it. Normal if I’m a visitor in their home I leave them alone. If they are in my house we they must die(not my rules but it is what it is). Non venomous snakes in my yard that don’t try to strike get moved to the woods. Venomous snakes in the the yard get no pass.

@Cali I have a tendency of watching my feet when I’m walking. Only sometimes my eyes aren’t as fast as my feet and this fella like the other two was a little too close to my foot. This one was laying beside a tree I would walk around to cross the rock going across the stream.

@John my LT always said there are only two types of snakes. Those that move and those that don’t and he dislikes both! Lol

@Matthew I remove snakes or people around here, rattlesnakes included. If non venomous I just grab them. I know there’s a chance I’ll get bit and I accept it. I also know how to help lower the chance of getting bit by a snake that wants to bite. It just stings fault good and bleeds anyway. I’ve been catching snakes since I was 13 years only and only been bit twice.

@Coyote I’ve caught plenty over the years. Got bit once at work and they still haven’t let me live it down.

@Matthew my last bite was a garter snake I removed from someone’s place. Bit me just as I was about to let it go.
