Yeah, it's a shame what the social media era has done to the masses. Less and less people form their own thoughts or opinions anymore, just blindly regurgitate whatever the influencer that has created the most agreeable facade to match their demographic has to say. Of course the main driver is always to sell them something as I can't think any "idols" that don't have something for sale. Its a truly baffling phenomenon, but it's clearly here to stay. I wrote a paper in the 5th grade talking about how folks need to get "unplugged", that was almost 20 years ago. Who could have seen this coming then? I was at a place the other day where you have to make reservations months in advance. Two maybe 20 year olds were sat in a booth nearby, not once did they look up from scrolling nor say a word the entire time. Each passing day our reality becomes more like the story line of the movie Idiocracy. This is a very true topic and definitely something 99.999999 percent of Americans struggle with but even in the punch line of the post it says “when duck season rolls around and there is (content) to be made”. I feel like every hunter feels the need to make “content” now, hell even I like a good picture of the deer I kill each year to post, but it also doesn’t have to be “content” I think some of the best memories of hunts can be lost if your always worried about getting your “content” to try and be the next YouTube or Instagram hunting star. I’d love to get payed to hunt and if I knew a good way to do that I would but there is a reason there are thousands of people trying to be you tube stars and everyone only knows of about 3 of them.
