    Picked up a quantum in Cabelas last year and felt like junk. Bass Pro brand is better.

    @Cameron it certainly seems that Quantum has gone downhill. I have a Quantum rod and reel that my dad gave me when I was 10. I still use it. Wish they put that quality into their rods.

    I imagine KVD left them for a reason.

    Got the replacement rod a couple of days ago. Put the line on it, we will be trying it out on our upcoming camping trip. Hopefully, it holds up.
