I'll probably do a little of both, but mostly public. Our limit has been reduced to 2 so I'm planning on using my longbow to make things interesting.

@Appalachian that’s what I’m talking about! If you end up sealing the deal with the longbow let us know!! Best of luck!

Public. First turkey hunt as a SC resident. There just aren’t turkeys where I grew up so this is all new to me but I did run into someone about my age while scouting and he invited me to go with him as he scouted and then invited me to hunt opening day with him and his buddies. So I’m super excited about that. I’ve never hunted public land before and was very intimidated about it but I’m feeling pretty good about it now.

@Max man don’t let public intimidate you. You might have to walk a few more miles but at the end of the day a gobbler is going to be a gobbler hunt hard think smart and be safe and one will slip up!

@Apex I’m completely fine with walking a long way to hunt. Just had to force myself to get out there and give it a shot. My old man kinda steered me away from public but I’m excited to give it a shot!

Man I hear that, and completely understand i understand where he’s coming from as-well, just be polite if you run into someone and be safe, you’ll be successful. Bunch of birds out there just gotta work for them.

South Carolina

Welcome to Apex Guide Services. My name is Luke Morgan - a South Carolina native and I’ll be your guide! As a young man the outdoors was always my passion, especially the pursuit of wild turkeys and waterfowl. I joined the Army in 2015 and was shipped off to Oklahoma, where I realized there was a market for hunting/guiding; and thus Apex was born. I have done waterfowl and turkey hunts all over the United States from Oklahoma to Ohio. When my time was up in the Army I moved back home to South Carolina, where I reside with my wife & three children; still following my passion of hunting the beautiful wetlands and swamps of the Carolina’s. Let me take my years of experience and make this a hunt you remember. Come on y’all, let’s enjoy the outdoors!
