Oh man the list is long but for dinners definitely brauts one night and a kielbasa, pepper, mushroom mix over mash potatoes the next. Or if it’s cold cold Dutch oven stews are too notch

Pie iron pizzas with pillsbury crescent dough are fun for kids. They can make their own and use whatever toppings they want.

Let me know if you ever want to park it on our property in Maine!

If it's still cool at nights,I like to make chili in a dutch oven.

@Marcus very cool idea, I'll echo the offer for Oregon. đŸ‘đŸ»whatever's fresh & localđŸ‘đŸ» reminds me of breakfast & the smoke alarms in the campground. 😄

I love fresh fish or small field game. You pack in seasonings with you, a campfire cooked rabbit is out is this world!!! đŸ€˜

Pork chops with sliced potatoes, onions and cream of mushroom soup in a giant cast iron skillet over the đŸ”„. Sticks to your ribs đŸ€Ł

@Marcus that’s a heck of an offer! If I make it up that way I certainly will contact you. We are taking it to the Keys this summer. So travel is definitely on the list

@Casey Oregon is a long way from Indiana but I’ve always wanted to see that part of America 😍

@John im definitely gonna look up a recipe for that.

@Jim when we were kids we did that while camping! Thanks for reminding me. I’m gonna get the stuff for that. The kids will love being able to participate.

@Brian well now I’m hungry. Adding that to the list!!

@Arica Great fishing & hunting in the area. Grand Lakes for landlocked salmon, grouse, etc. Check out Prentiss TWP.

Steak on the coal's of the fire. Next to that probably good brots

Outstanding. Enjoy. We bought our last year and used it many times over the summer. I bought a 17” black stone and cook just about everything on it. And I always make beer potatoes in the Dutch oven over the fire. Those are always a hit.

@Nathanael @Joseph great ideas!! Thank you!!

@Arica we moved from door county Wisconsin a few years ago. It's definitely a 3 day drive one way without over doing it.

Steak, potato salad, beans, and Root Beer.

I've found my favorite is cajun seasoned corn, potato, and sausage in a disposable 9×13 pan, baked on the grill or in the fire. Yum!

  • Arica's avatar

    @Hannah yummy!

Hobo dinners. Burgers, onions, peppers, potatoes. A slab of butter all wrapped in a tinfoil packet. Throw it in the fire for 15-20 min. Quick easy, very little garbage or clean up. Not to mention easy to pre pack, and always delicious! My #1 choice.
