@Darren YOST my goal is the turkey population but when I start to see other ground nesting birds I’ve never seen before, you know it’s working! Did I mention I’m starting to see pheasant and quail on the river where I’d never before seen?? IT WORKS!

For many states, trapping season is upon us. Removing these nest-raiding predators, coons, skunks, possums has been an absolute game changer for our area’s turkey population. In three years of trapping, I can easily say that our turkey population has doubled.

Yes, coyotes and bobcats kill their fair share of turkeys. But when they do, it’s one at a time, here and there. When one raccoon finds a nest, he eats every last egg, killing upwards of 10-14 potential turkeys in a matter of minutes. Nest raiding predators need our attention!

Do your part and trap these predators! It’s easy and cost effective!
