The deer that started it all for me. This was my first buck I killed way back in the day. I was sitting on an opening morning, when my father was coming to pick me up from the morning hunt. I can remember this day so vividly, I hadn’t seen a deer all morning. My father on his way to pick me up saw a small 8 point buck and shot the deer with his muzzleloader. The shot spooked up this spike horn and he walked within bow range of my stand. I put one perfect shot on him with my grandfathers Ithaca Deerslayer 20 gauge. The buck ran 20 yards and piled up. I was looking at old pictures of hunting photos with my Father this weekend and came across some old photos. Can’t put a price on memories like that. This is both of us with our buck double.
