Morels are known to grow in the same spot year after year, especially if the conditions are favorable. However, it is not guaranteed that you will find them in the same spot every year. Morels require specific conditions to grow, such as the right soil, temperature, and moisture. If these conditions change, the morels may not grow in the same spot. It's always worth checking the same spot again, but it's also a good idea to explore new areas to increase your chances of finding morels. Very good chance they will grow in the same area as long as conditions are right I have multiple sites I go to every year

Yes, the same spot. But check any recent burn area. There is success with that in western Montana.

Unless a major change in the landscape occurred, good morel spots are perennial. Iโve lost plenty to housing developments and clear cuts though. Good luck!
