@Ice this tree gave zero indication on that weak spot. We had 60mph winds around the 1st of the year, I’m guessing it happened during that.

@Wade haha, no doubt. And I thought the same thing. I can’t get the strap off because it’s frozen and heavy, but I’ll get the chainsaw out this spring and find a better tree hopefully

You can’t really tell from this pic but a huge white pine landed on p feet from my stand, blocking an ancient deer trail full of rubs. So much wind this year; so many snapped trees.

Tree damage all over while scouting in MA yesterday. That last storm we had was heavy and wet snow.

@John yessir, here also. I saw a few other fresh blowdown’s. I weighed one shovel of snow today. 36 lbs😳
