Looks like they’ve been hitting the turnips pretty hard in the snow! Have you had good luck over the years with turnips? I’ve always heard folks say turnips worked but have never known anyone that tried it around me.

See that’s what a lot of people don’t get about turnips they expect to see activity it’s a good source for winter when their sweet and crack everyone always things they will hit them 2/3 of the time if they do hit them it’s not till the 2nd or 3rd year you add them to a property as the first year their stomach mostly can’t digest it in a lot of places

@John I mix turnips and radishes in the same plot. They hit the greens hard through mid October, then the vegetables after freeze up when it brings out the sugars. I’m hoping to find a shed or 2, there’s plenty left!

@Joshua yessir, absolutely. It’s a great plot for helping them through the toughest parts of winter for sure. I move them around for soil nutrient reasons, but they’ve been on em since the 2nd or 3rd year I started.

@Mike their ya go yea it takes a few years before they will hit a new food plot their not as simple as a lot of people seem to think it takes a lot to manage plots and get mature bucks on them
