    Congratulations! 40: you got a little more down to go before it’s truly cold up here in the mountains. One morning I hunted in 13 degrees. Every step was a loud crunch.

    @Cameron yeah that is a whole other level of cold. I don’t even have the attire to hunt in that!

    @Brad thank you.

    @Mike You go light. You’ll be sweating up a storm and cold and sweat don’t mix well. Have bibs strapped onto your pack. When you’re close to the spot you want to setup, put bibs on.

    Nice buck, congratulations. When our firearm season starts sometimes it doesn't get above freezing, one year I hunted it was 10 below zero out.we only get two weekends to hunt deer with a gun and its the weekend before Thanksgiving and the weekend after Thanksgiving. There is a late season muzzle loader season the end of December also.

    @Cameron that always seems like the toughest part. Getting the layers right while getting in and out.

    @Brian that is crazy. Lucky to have one of the longest rifle seasons i the country here. We are spoiled.

    @Danny Neuhofer I would agree. This is the 2nd time I have had a shooter buck show up right after a rain.

    Awesome job Mike 👊🏼 I don’t do well trying to dress after getting in the woods , I’ve been dressing warm with good wicking clothing , stay slow and calm while trekking and climbing Usually most sweat wicks away quick enough after I’m set.

    @Dave tha k you for the tip. Definitely need to slow down when I am out there.

    @Mike I’m not saying that I don’t get cold , each season seems to get harder to endure since I’m not getting younger
