@Tom Unfortunately Chris took these. I may stick some of my old ones back up soon. But he just went to the Range yesterday and these were too pretty not to share. Thanks Tom. I sometimes screenshot comments and share with him. He says he doesn't have any place where he shares them (meaning, he doesn't do any social media). His camera equipment is nice and way newer than mine. He has gotten better over the years. The Range is a great place to go for wildlife. We use to go up to 4 times a month, slipping off trail and getting into the brush. Sorta made me nervous....but some experiences I've had super close to wildlife,I will never forget and will always treasure. Some of these elk we have nicknames for. Unfortunately, the Range is owned by the Tribe and no longer the Federal government. So hunting for the Native Americans is permitted, and some animals are disappearing. ππ

@Tom Thanks, Tom. It is absolutely (beautiful)...and even nicer if one parks their rig and gets more intimate with the land by walking thru it. https://bisonrange.org/

@Lisa best way to enjoy it. On foot, or maybe on horseback.

@David On foot always. Can't enjoy some of the smaller things found on the ground, nor get the exercise, if you're on horseback...even if Nate says he doesn't understand why people log their exercise hours. Lol. His video on horseback was great though. Do you, or have you had, horses David? They are great, if you have a good one

@Lisa no never had one but used to take care of some and knew someone who had them. Its a very relaxing experience.

@Lisa wish I did have one, the Hennepin Canal State Park Trail is perfect for riding. 100 miles of trail in total.

@Lisa naturally I'd train my horse, named Crazy Horses Raindancer, to spot the smaller things and stop so I could check them out.π΄π

@David π I think you should, once you get your bow, start a group up where you are and call them "The Hennepin Equine Archers!" And you all start shooting from horseback! Maybe at the people that are littering. π³π€£ππ€£ Y'all would and could get all 100 miles of trails cleaned up quick! π I loved owning horses....but grew to think that if they dont have a job (other than merely for my enjoyment) then they aren't worth the money for their upkeep. I occasionally look at my horse photos, think back when I showed them, and smile at the magazine article that someone did of my little stables....but the cost didn't make sense in the long run.

@Lisa thats a great idea! "The Hennepin Equine Archers" is a perfect name. Maybe I can propose it at The Friends of the Hennepin Canal and Hennepin Canal State Park Foundation meetings, since I've joined both organizations now. We could do demonstrations for tourists at the visitors center.πΉππ

@Lisa I'm the same, if they're not working or being ridden on a regular basis there's no sense in having them. I know one like that, has like 7 horses, they're not ridden anywhere or do work. Her 21 yr old daughter always goes on how her and boy toys and friends are going trail riding but never do. Hardly take care of them, especially the daughter. Can barely afford the hay and the they get allπ€¬π€¬π€¬π€¬ when told they need to get rid of them

@David There ya go! Get one of the 7 horses not being used, get your bow, start practicing, and prepare for a killer demonstration at the next Hennepin Foundation meeting! Get Jim Litwin to shine spotlights on you as you do your demo at sunset. Lol. The Foundation will love the new group idea! Think of the yearly number of tourist that would come there every year, just to see such excitement. π€ͺ You'll have to toss me a 10% commission for coming up with the idea though. Ha

@David ...and it sounds like if you take those horses off the hands of the person not using them, you may already have a herd for the first official Hennepin Equine Archer team! Whoo Yah!πππ

@Lisa id have to send them to school for proper manners for a horse. Their schooling, I hate the word broke to ride, has been severely lacking. Maybe someone here on GoWild? ππ€π
