I almost didn’t go out hunting but I knew it was one of the last “cooler” nights we’d have for a while. The dogs still got hot. I decided to take Ridge and piper to see how they hunted together (or split). Ridge slammed a double right away and piper honored not far behind then piper went off and worked her own track for maybe 20 min while Ridge worked his own. It was a super good seemingly difficult track and she treed and Ridge honored before 3 min was up. She didn’t tree jack hard on the trunk like a normal hotter tracks and treed in the canopy most of the time. It was a leaner tree with the coon further out on the top/end. I was really proud of her work for this one! 

All she wanted was a drink afterwards and couldn’t keep her nose out of the air and wanted to make another drop…but on a Sunday we only can hunt for an hour or so before it’s bedtime.
