You could not have said it any better, I  cherish the memories of my dad when we hunted together and like you, I  just look at the mounts I  have and it seems like he is right there with me at my side.

Reminiscing on this rainy night thinking  of the 100’s of hunting memories I have and looked at one of my mounts tonight. I was just a young kid at the time and could hardly operate a vehicle.  I remember shaking so bad after this took place my father had to drive me home after it all happened. I used to care about how giant the deer where. Always dreaming of giant tines. Now I ponder the memories of my father and I and the conversations we had in that old Ford Expedition.  Sitting here tonight I’ve realized that big bucks are awesome, but those core memories you have with friends and family. Those are the biggest rewards. Dad you will always be missed, but this ol mount will speak your words loudly. Fathers/mothers… Take the kids hunting and don’t worry about being quiet. One day that’s all they’ll have..
