Well today was my last sit of the season. Bow season closes tomorrow here in NY.  I had a nice spot on private land. And right at sunrise I had 2 doe come crashing through the brush but never gave me a shot opportunity. So as I sat there waiting to see what startled them a amazing looking red fox came strutting through. But again like last time I couldn’t get a shot on it as it was behind me in heavy brush. I did manage to get him to stop and look around but I couldn’t get an arrow through the branches. Oh well. Not a horrible season through. Did manage 4 doe (3 archery, 1 rifle). I was able to get my daughter out for a double which was awesome and I had my son with me for the rifle.  No antlers for me this season. But for what I lacked in antlers I made up for with feathers.  I got out a bunch of times for waterfowl and ended up with 3 Canadian, 3 old squaw, 2 mallards, 1 blue bill. And I spent a lot of time outside with my kids so that’s the best part. Now on to nuisance hunting (hahaha)
