Joining the Boys for a Goose Hunt After Two Weeks Out West: Married to the Best Wife Ever!

@Derek haha, yeah, we’re a ways out on those too. This was a wheat field that’s about to be planted with rye. But, if silage comes off it could get hot.

@Mike all my spots here that are in the western zone where season is currently open are saying they haven't seen the birds in weeks. I'll be back out there Monday morning hoping they decide to show back up though.

I hunted over a cut silage field last weekend with some friends here in Central IL. There wasn't nearly the amount of birds that we've seen there in the past few years.

I sure wish I had my Lab back their such an awesome dog. A good understanding wife is hard to beat.

@Derek good luck! I’m surprised resident birds move that much. Up here, pressure is about the only thing that bumps them during early goose

@Craig we’re WAY down also. We had a wet spring and I’m sure that affected the hatch.
