This is my oldest son’s first deer (on the right). He couldn’t shoulder my dad’s old 30/30 but he was determined to shoot his first deer with it.  Before my dad could get his hand up to catch the butt of the old Winchester, Tristan pulled the trigger hitting the deer and the butt of the gun hitting pap pa in the mouth. I was on the other side of the woods and all I heard was the gun shot then “I got him pap pa I got him!” I will never forget this hunt. It is one of my favorites still to this day.
