Coming up on the anniversary of this deer harvest!

He was my second buck ever, and he may not be the biggest, but I’ve always been a fan of the really wide deer.

Some very generous friends offered for us to come out on a cull hunt, and we walked away with this deer and a 9 point.

Up until this point, we hadn’t seen a single deer the ENTIRE season, so this was an incredible blessing to us.

I named him the “BFG”, the “big feeble giant” after watching him kind of wander around the other deer all weekend.
