Yesterday we had our alarms set for 3AM to be on the water by 5AM. As we were leaving, the running lights on the trailer went out. Seeing as it was still pitch black out, this set us back about 45 minutes. We made it to the lake by 5:30 so we didn’t lose too much time. We started throwing lures near the launch but boogied over the other side of the lake after about 20 minutes. My brother and our friends were fishing that spot and saw a huge tiger musky. I had my friend Sam with us and she had never been musky fishing before. She ended up having a follow but couldn’t figure out what kind of fish it was. We determined it was either a pike or musky. Shortly after, I reeled in a pike. That was the only fish to hit any boats or the morning. On the way home, our trailer problems escalated as a tire blew out when we were 30 minutes from home. Thank god for good samaritans that lived near by to check on us and lend us a floor jack.
