The Mossberg 835 is a popular choice for turkey hunting due to its ability to handle 3.5-inch shells, which are great for taking down big birds like turkeys. The gun also has a reputation for being reliable and durable, which is important for any hunting firearm. However, like any gun, it's important to make sure that it fits you properly and that you practice with it before heading out into the field. Overall, the Mossberg 835 can be a great choice for turkey hunting. SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. He comments on all posts flagged as questions. I have the 935, (semi-auto) and almost wish I’d gone with the 835. The Sandhills last year weren’t kind to the 935 and it wouldn’t cycle. I can only imagine the 835 is just as reliable and more durable in adverse conditions. I’ve killed a wagon load of turkeys and geese with my 935.

The 835 is one of those tried and true turkey guns!
