    Small rubs don’t always mean small deer. I figure it’s a mature deer. Put a camera on it. Proofs in a pic

    Usually if there’s several rubs in a area it’s a mature deer. 1 small rub could be just a passing through deer but several in a area means he’s comfortable there and frequents that area

    I figured mature buck too. It’s got two trails coming out of a thick swamp. Two other rubs and the scrape are small. Ok my way back with the cam now!

    Doesn't really look like a scrape, old cedar trees usually look like that in the fall. I would still put a camera on it just to make sure.

    @John I didn’t think so at first either because you’re right about cedars. Inside the “L” of my hand is what looks like a tine mark with sap dripping.
